Moshe Vainer has been foraging and studying mushrooms for the last 20+ years. He has scientific, culinary, and environmental interests in all things related to our wonderful earth and the intricate web of mycelial networks. As an avid outdoorsman, Moshe has had the opportunity to explore the expansive world of the fungi of the Pacific Northwest and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. He is an expert and administrator in some of the popular international and PNW mushroom forums, where he is happy to both continuously learn and share his knowledge. For the last four years, Moshe and his Spanish Water Dog, Truffle, have been expanding their adventures into the world of native truffle hunting as well. Moshe has been leading groups small and large in mushroom forays for the past several years and finds sharing his passion for mycophilia gratifying, and looks forward to sharing the experience, and the forest, with you!
